So the original estimate was 2.7% YOY...revised upward to 3.3%.  Combine that with inflation being revised to 2% YOY and you have a booming economy and tariffs, as Jerome Powell admitted in his latest talk, does not drive inflation.  Interesting outcome as I would have expected tariffs to bump inflation up.  Apparently there is room for tariffs that doesn't drive inflation.  Recall that tariffs generated $130B in revenue to the treasury so they are in effect. 

I still generally oppose tariffs but I am coming around to believing that Trump's tariff strategy may actually work...time will tell.  What I want to see is the $3T in new investments announced in the U.S. as a result of the threat of tariffs to happen which will create a lot of jobs for Americans.  Time will tell on that one as well.

Talk about inflation!!! I stopped at Wedy's to get 2 medium Frosty cups. They are soft ice cream like Dairy Cream. I bouth them and consider myself to be nuts...I paid $6.50 for the 2. I remeber buying a Halloween coupon book for $3 with 12 coupons for free small ones.

Goofy, I looked it up and Wendy's was holding a promotion then to compete with McDonalds who had temporarily dropped their prices to give customers a break from inflation.  Comparing a special promotion to the regular price and calling it inflation is either ignorance or economic illiteracy....probably both.  I looked it up and the increase in Frosty's in the last year is in line with 3% annual inflation along with some operational costs and innovation costs that Wendy's added to their product costs.  Now if you go back to 2022 when Biden was in office a medium Frosty price increased 25% from 2020 and the 2022 version was smaller (shrinkflation).  By the way, you can still get a similar Frosty's promotion deal during certain times of the year.

But only someone with TDS would respond with such a silly anecdote in response to positive economic news.  Let me guess, next you will come up with the fake friends like Chuckie Schumer's Joe and Eileen Baily that have seen prices go up massively since Trump was elected and how they regret voting for him and know they are cooking the economic numbers book, right?

You have to remember Obama never did nuffin wrong and was able to blame Bush for 8 years for anything and everything while GFY posted about happily that it was what Oblamer inherited.  

Now he has amnesia for anything that happened prior to Trump taking office again.
