I have recently adopted a 1962 Elgin 14' runabout with a 1959 35hp Johnson outboard.

I got the boat from the orginal owner and for most of it's life it was garage kept.

The previous owner had it on the water last spring but indicated it was unreliable and likely had carb issues.

Who could evaluate what the boat needs and an estimate repair costs?

I'd post pics if I knew how... really cool looking retro boat.
