Subject:   RPM and ring deterioration.

I know marine engines are desinged to take higher RPMs than standard engines, but what should I expect (high end RPMs) to get out of a stock 454 before I place too much of a demand onthe engine? What is the effect of running 3800-4400 RPMs?
