Unfortunately I was not there when it happened. My wife said it shut down like when a rope or weeds bind the prop. They were in ~25 ft of water. She checked the props and found them free to rotate and without damage. When she tried to crank, it sounded like it was seized up. The marina showed her the lower unit fluid with metal shavings in it and stated a new lower unit needed to be ordered. The fluids were changed last Spring) I cannot get to it until mid week but thought I might get more edumacated from discussing with the forum ;>)
CAT......do you do house calls for diagnosis purposes?
