As fo right now winter pool is 480' which is a 10' drop unless one of two things happen: 1) APCO requests a variance; or 2) FERC approves APCO's request that winter pool be 483' for a period of time to study the impact of the higher winter pool.

Given the amount of precipitation I do not see APCO submitting a variance request.  As to what FERC will do it is anyone's guess.  The initial denial of the new winter pool request by APCO came as a surprise.  It was a well founded and supported request by both the science and the stakeholders (with a few notable exceptions).  I am hoping they agree to the study period so APCO can document that this is not a bid deal and not a threat to downstream landowners.
