We have received a report that there are individuals going door to door in the Lake Martin area soliciting donations on behalf of the Marine Police Division. We'd like to make everyone aware that the Marine Police does not solicit donations either door to door or by any other means. Any person soliciting donations on our behalf is doing so fraudulently and is subject to prosecution. if you are approached by anyone asking for money on our behalf, please try to get a good description of that person and any vehicle involved and contact your local police department or sheriff's department as soon as possible.
