I had the strap lift on my lift...The only problem is that no matter where you locate the upper guide pully the boat still flexes. I have a 24 foot Mastercraft that weight is 4400#. The windshield would close fine when the boat was off the lift but on the lift the flex was more than one inch. To much for me. I decided to switch the straps for the bunk style galvanized rails with 2x10 runners. You can also get these at overtons or any other place that sells marine stuff. Another problem with straps is the load up. You have to get the straps (in my opnion) exactly under the boat where you want them before you lift the boat out of the water. Sometimes they will twist and they sometimes (most of the time) float instead of sinking. It was a pain in the but. Go with the supports. You will be happy you did it and they only cost a tiny bit more. Email if you have questions.
