I have always liked Torre, even though I hate the Yankees, because of his past Braves affiliation. It's hard to figure out just how good a manager he is because he always has the best talent in the league. Same argument can be made about Phil Jackson and the Bulls and Lakers. However, I am 100% with Sig in that those who sat through the lean years seem to appreciate Bobby Cox alot more than the Johnny-come-lately bunch. I'll take 13 in a row with one championship any day. I always laugh when someone like Terrance Moore, local Atlanta sportswriter who specializes in racism, rags on Bobby not being able to win the big one when Terrance is never even nominated for any of the sports journalism awards. So easy to expect excellence from others.
