We sold approximately the same number of gallons of fuel this year as we have for the past couple of years. Of course, the gross $$$ are up because of the rising fuel costs, but the # of gallons and our margins are about the same. Since the average customer only uses 100-150 gallons per season, an additional $75-$100 in fuel cost is not enough to keep anybody from enjoying the lake.
Interestingly, we sold more gallons of fuel on a single day (July 3rd) than we did in Oct 04, Nov 04, Dec 04, Jan 05, Feb 05, Mar 05, and April 05 - all put together! Talk about seasonality.
