On occasion I have been buying gasoline at WalMart and using my credit card to receive the three-cent per gallon discount. Having received my recent statement today, I noticed no credit had been given on my bill.
I called WalMart and they assured me that the price I paid did include the discount. Wrong! So I called Murphy Oil and asked them about it. I was told you had to pay at the pump in order to get it. I told them that nowhere on the sign did it state that (I had been paying at the cashiers window and using my card). They gave me a toll-free number to call. The person there said that it was not valid in Alabama or Wisconsin to which I replied, "well you better have someone take down the durn (actually I said the other word) signs!" They took my name and number and said someone would call. I'm still waiting.
