I am coming more and more to your way of thinking Uncle Sam. Until talking with someone whom I respect and admire last year I wouldn't have considered it. This person spent a year in Afghanistan, yet questioned our Iraq policy himself. Since listening to him I have had to rethink the issue. But I still say, agree or not, as long as we are there we should be there to win. Unfortunately 'win' seems to be very hard to define at this point.

I will keep you and your sons in my thoughts and prayers as I do all that are in harms way. I have made a couple of small donations to help a local group that was sending out 'care packages' but have not sent any myself. I make it a point to shake the hand and personally thank anyone I see in uniform. You can tell your sons that this old fat guy APPRECIATES what they do. Tell them I said keep their heads down and their powder dry!!
