Chair, If you know where Sand Island is, go there by boat, turn right and follow the shoreline South. There are several sloughs where you can get out of the traffic and remain relatively safe. Do not go as far as the entrance to Kowaliga Creek. You should be able to see the South end of the Kowaliga bridge and be able to see and hear the fireworks close by. About 5 miles, about. But, when the fireworks finale comes, you can either stay put for about 20 minutes, or, you can make the suicide run back to Willow Point, across really crazy boat traffic, ocean size wakes, and drunk drivers. Your choice
