it's almost to Auburn, on the left heading toward Auburn. If you go to their website, www.yellowhammerrestaurant.com, you can see the menu for the July 23 wine dinner. It's a fixed price menu and includes wine with each course. I attend the wine dinners at John's in Birmingham, but can't get to the lake mid-week for Yellowhammer. They usually offer a meat, poultry, fish and, sometimes, game entree, and the appetizers and desserts are amazing. Very extensive wine cellar as well. Quaint surroundings with nice ambiance (live piano music during dinner). Dress runs from casual (no cut-offs or bikini tops) to semi-dressy. Last time I was there must have been prom night, because there were several young couples in fancy dress - delightful. But I have also been there dressed in chinos and a sweater and felt very comfortable. If you are there on a game day, you will see lots and lots of blue/orange combinations! I hope you try it and like it.
