Kill switches are required on PWC's in most every state, including Georgia and Florida. There is a reason for having a kill switch on a PWC. There is no reason to mandate a kill switch on a boat. Of course, this being America, those who disagree can buy their own if they live in a jurisdiction that does not require them.

We have become a nation of nervous nellies. Remember that everytime you take off your shoes when boarding a plane or surrender your penknife when you go into the courthouse.
