For concerned lake users, floats are sometimes a good suggestion for indicating submerged trunks, trees, etc. Submerged rocks or rock ledges are more difficult to indicate. An example: if the water is down about 10 feet when the trunk is exposed, take a float (orange or white or other bright color) with about 10 feet of strong fish line attached and tie it to the trunk. As water rises so will the float, indicating the trunk below the water. Once in a while, if the float is only up two, three , four, etc feet above the trunk, there will be a little slack in the line. If a boat comes too close to the float, the line/wire etc might get caught in the propeller. It works generally OK on some other lakes, it might work here. Perhaps this has been tried before, and knowledgeable people could comment on whether it worked or not.
