What makes the spat between Fox News and the Messiah different is the administration, through Gibbs, Axelrod, Dunn and others specifically lobbied the other networks to exclude Fox from the White House press pool. This kind of overt lobbying is unprecedented and thankfully has been rejected by the rest of the press. Even they recognize what a dangerous road the White House is taking.

While it is arguable, I take the position that this kind of activity amounts to an attempt to deny free speech through intimidation.
