Interesting article. Thanks for posting it.
-Of course the US and the Argentine examples are quite different, ..but, there are enough similarities to make for a thoughtful discussion of the meaning of the Argentine journey thru recession for our own.
-Up until the 1960's most economists didn't really think of economics as a science. But in the 60's the importance of "social sciences" grew in academic circles. Professors began to believe that economics could be controlled by government, and that they could influence the government, and then the problems started.......
