Now Obama wants a slush fund to use the TARP money as it is paid back any way he wants to.
It is kind of funny ... I was in favor of TARP at the time because of the potential for a financial meltdown and believed if it worked, the tresury would get the money back and would immediately pay the debt back.
When it was proposed the dems did not want it ... if you recall they voted it down the first time and then narrowly passed the second time. Now they want to extend it and be able to use the money any way they want as it is paid back.
Boy the elections in 2010 and 2012 will be interesting. Can't wait for the commercials.
