Re-read what I wrote because I didn't say all government workers were liberal, nor are all wealthy people nor all people who drive around in junky cars with lots of bumper stickers. I started with the 30% of the country that is liberal placed most of them in my own categories. My wife, who is very conservative, worked for USEPA for nine years. Decent pay and great benefits. But working for the government, even when she did, didn't change her conservative beliefs. However, we were friends with quite a few people that voted like liberals because they thought it would improve job security or the liberal politician would increase their pay.
