-Will this stupid act endanger troops? --Yes!
-Does this idiot preacher have the right to do it? --yes! ..errr, No! ...errr, maybe! ...errr, maybe not.
-I don't know what the First Amendment allows me to do anymore. Do you?
-Do we have any rights lawyers in teh forum who can help us?
-WHY THE CONFUSION ON THE 1st AMENDMENT? ...because of teh recent development of "Hate Speech" laws. Because I have no knowledge of the proper law books to quote, let me quote Wikipedia: " Hate speech is, outside the law, any communication which disparages a person or a group on the basis of some characteristic such as race or sexual orientation.[1][2] In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group. The law may identify a protected individual or a protected group by race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or other characteristic.[3] In some countries, a victim of hate speech may seek redress under civil law, criminal law, or both."
-Between "political Correctness" and "Hate speech," we have self-censpred ourselves as a society and have given up our 1st Amendment rights!
