While I would like to believe it is all innocent and whats the big deal .... there have been too many examples that it is not so innocent and it is a big deal.

Why do you think they come to the US in the first place and then want to change our laws, policies, holidays, what they can touch (example of Muslim refusing to check out pork), etc?   If they cherish there beliefs, I have no problem with that ... but why come to the US and try to change our way of life and culture?   Either stay in your homeland or practice in private.

Immigrants that have come to the US (legally) years ago, came for a better life. Not to force what they were fleeing from and recreate it in their new country.

We wnat to welcome anyone legally to our country ... they can practice whatever religion they want .... but don't try to take advantage of the freedom we provide and try to chnage our culture. There should be an expectation when you "choose" to live in another country, you are choosing their culture as well.   Otherwise, stay in your homeland or "choose" to go somewhere else.

I don't think you can name any other country in the world that would tolerate or even consider a christian or jew going to another country and demanding they change their work rules, holidays or anything else.   In most countries you would be asked to leave or escorted out ... in some far worse would happen.   And you know that.
