MrHodjq, what we have to recognize is that Oblamer has never been a leader and is fully in campaign mode along with being desperate. Normally at this point in a first term the President will be tacking to the center to ensure reelection. Unfortunately for the Messiah he has been such an abject failure and objectively incompetent that he is actually moving left to try to shore up his base because he knows he has no hope without them.

But knowing him and his narcissism he probably thinks that he can give 500 speeches (i.e., read from the teleprompter) and rely on the sycophantic dinosaur government media and independents will flock to him when it comes election time. He will blame Bush. He will blame the "do nothing" Congress". He will blame Greece. He will blame [fill in the most recent natural disaster]. He will blame Big Business" He will blame millionaires and billionaires. He will blame you and I and call us racists because we oppose his statist, big government agenda. But the American people, including most Independents (Hound being the notable exception) will rightly understand that he has had three years (almost four by election day) to right the ship and everything he has proposed and implemented has failed.

He also doesn't seem to understand that the GOP in the House will not sit back and do nothing. They have and will continue to propose reasonable and logical plans that actually rely on the markets to create jobs and not the government. And the GOP presidential candidate will offer an alternate view of the U.S. that is not declinist and hopelessly negative as Oblamer sees our country. They will be upbeat and optimistic while Oblamer points fingers and whines.
