America seems to suffer from schizophrenia as it is wildly pessimistic about the country and yet reelected Obama. Only 39% are optimistic and only 48% believe things will be better in 5 years, also similar to Carteresque numbers. Hence my view that Obama was given a gimme because expectations were so low for the affirmative action president. And sadly for us and this country the expectations are set really low and he will fail to meet them........
