Demonstrating once again the left's complete lack of understanding of the Catholic Church, they appear to be all agog over Pope Francis. Sadly for them, they are heading toward complete disappointment, despair and eventual anger and hatred of the Pope. They seem to be ignoring his steadfast reaffirmation of many of the core tenets of the Catholic Church that the left so despises (opposition to gay marriage, abortion, contraception, women clergy, etc.). It is a wonder to witness once again unwarranted hope outstripping any reality.

It appears to me that they foolishly believe the Pope is going to change many of these fundamental beliefs and in this regard they are going to be bitterly disappointed. So he is a typical Jesuit and leans toward big government solutions......those are his personal opinions and Catholics are not held to believe or agree with him on this. That is the beauty of the papacy, we are only obligated to follow the Church on matters of faith and morals, not politics or economics or any specific ideology.

Ah the left.....once again believing so much that just isn't true.......
