Well, Ivey says no delay, and McConnell wants Moore to step down, as do 6 other sitting Senators. If he did step down (which I don't see him doing) would that default to a Doug Jones win? There is talk about letting him be elected and then eject him from the Senate.
Where are all the smart Alabamian who don't have a ton of political and personal baggage? How will we ever move forward in this state if we keep voting in questional people? I personally felt outraged when Shelby was re-elected in his 80s - at what point do the voters say enough is enough, since a lot of these old timers don't seem to know when it is time to retire.
What about State Legislators who could serve at the national level? Are there any?
