The Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch have declared an all out war on each other. The media is misreporting conversations, because they know the public can't take it's nose out of their phones long enough to absorb the total situation.
No matter who is right and who is wrong, they have taken on ireconcilable positions. No one is talking about anything else. It's lies, and posturing and no one cares about the truth.
People are calling out Ellen Degeneres (gay, liberal) for sitting next to our former President Bush at a football game. (she has blown them off talking about kindness, even to people that don't think like we do). But what happens when we get so polarized that we can't even imagine having a civil conversation with someone of a different political persuasion.
We've worried about attacks from Russia, attacks from North Korea, we always envisioned the end would come with bombs. But maybe this is the end with words and paper. How soon before it becomes physical or deadly?
