I have noticed that right before major let downs is when they get they post the most BS followed by a short pause and then the next "We got him this time"

And I think you are right, this is an attempt to get in front of other investigations  to take them out of the news cycle as well as election interference looking forward to 2020.  They are scared, even the left wing media is now running stories about can they beat Trump?  Is there anyone else out there who can be a better canidate? The more they dig into Ukraine the more Biden is going to be damanged taking out their current #1.  

It is amazing to the extents that they attempt to protect Biden as a canidate, none of those same considerations were available to Trump during the last election.  It is funny to listen to them talk about investigating Bidens 2016 corruption should be off the table due to him being a canidate, after three years of election / presidential interference by demonrats to rig the 2016 election and hamstring the Whitehouse since the election.
