I've actually heard it the other way around - that if you die a medical committee and an independent physican has to certify that you actually died of Cornoa and not of something else, to be included in the count that you died from the virus. Alabama is actually keeping and publishing 2 seperate counts. It has to be independently certified that you died from the virus. So many people that die actually have underlying medical conditions that worsened when you get the virus. If anything, I think deaths from the virus are being under-reported (unless you are in NYC, or other major metropolitan area).
