Unfortunately, it would seem that the solution, according to most Democrats, is to "give" not train or discipine the system so that people have to find a way to earn more money. We've got thousands of people that have benefitted from the "giving" since the Johnson Administration and have become adept at figuring out ways to get more, without having to work for it. If those people put the same amount of effort into earning, there would be no stopping them.
I've got a soon to be ex, daughter in law, whose greatest impediment to working is that she refuses to get up in the morning and can't be on time. She thinks public assistance is her solution.
