I keep wondering if this cancel nonsense will ever die. I used to think that once the left started eating their own that it would die the inglorious death it deserves.....but now I am beginning to wonder. This is a direct threat to our freedom of speech and is being done with the complicity of big tech and the government. Recent victims are Whoopi Goldberg for her stupid comments on the Holocaust. Next is Joe Rogan which has been incredibly interesting. Talk about a strange turn of events. We have Neil Young, who made millions for his opposition to the government who has done a complete 180 and is now schlepping for the man by removing his music from Spotify. He was quickly joined by other former radicals who now in their old age have become spokesmen for big government. How the worm turns.
But even these latest cancel culture outrages shows no sign of abating. Unless and until we refuse to comply with the mobs. It is also a stark reminder that it's not only the government that can negatively impact our rights but also large tech corporations that control far too much of the flow of information. They are run by dedicated leftists that realize they cannot compete in the arena of ideas and have to rely on censorship. If they have to destroy a few of their own fellow travelers in the ideological world it is apparently a small price to pay.
