Subject:   Fed rate hike guarantees a recession

If we are not in one now we will be in the next 6 to 12 months for sure although I hope I am wrong.  The Fed's only weapon left in their puny arsenal is interest rates.  And they are continuing with an all out effort to reduce inflation in the only way they can......and it will bump us into a recession.  Volcker did the same early in Reagan's first term which brought inflation under control but at the cost of a recession.  But since it was early in Reagan's first term they were able to turn the economy around before the next election cycle.  The exact opposite will happen here because of the timing.  We will likely be in a recession or very early in a recovery when 2024 comes around, inflation will be coming down which is good for DJ but the stock market and other economic indicators will be struggling still.

After pumping trillions of dollars into the economy during a recovery they caused more dollars to chase fewer goods and hence inflation.  With the DJ administration at war with oil they combined inflation with massive and record setting energy prices.   A double whammy.  No wonder small business entiment is at an all time low, consumer confidence is likewise in the the tank and the wrong direction question is approaching 80%.

And how does DJ respond?  He blames everyone else and the new talking point coming from the PressSec is, "yeah things are bad, but Americans are in such a good place due to the great work by the current administration that we can all handle it".  Think about that message.  We went from inflation is transitory to inflation is here to stay so suck it up and you are too stupid to understand why we are doing such a great job.  I can't decide if they actually believe that garbage will work or they are simply out of ideas.  I suspect the latter but even with a compliant govt media average Americans can see the truth.  As for the oft touted jobs recovery, I will point out that we still like the number of jobs prior to the plandemic.  And job growth is already slowing and will likely head in negative territory when the recession hits.
