Knight et al, Circulation, huge study pre-vaccination era, demonstrates VTE and not shown ASCVD events considerably elevated for 20 weeks after COVID-19 hospitalization for respiratory illness.  COVID-19 vaccination afterwards almost certainly makes these risks even greater.   Physicians and patients should be alerted to this risk and low threshold for diagnostic evaluation and treatment with anti-coagulation.
