So the original estimate was 2.7% YOY...revised upward to 3.3%.  Combine that with inflation being revised to 2% YOY and you have a booming economy and tariffs, as Jerome Powell admitted in his latest talk, does not drive inflation.  Interesting outcome as I would have expected tariffs to bump inflation up.  Apparently there is room for tariffs that doesn't drive inflation.  Recall that tariffs generated $130B in revenue to the treasury so they are in effect. 

I still generally oppose tariffs but I am coming around to believing that Trump's tariff strategy may actually work...time will tell.  What I want to see is the $3T in new investments announced in the U.S. as a result of the threat of tariffs to happen which will create a lot of jobs for Americans.  Time will tell on that one as well.
