Technically he is ... but the democrats don't want to admit since he can not match the experience and service of McCain, so they keep attacking and comparing him to Palin hoping to make him look better, but even her executive experience is kicking Obama's butt.

Latest national polls shows an expanding lead for McCain (some 49% and others 50% before counting undecided) and in the electoral vote McCain is leading in that as well and when you add in the leaning states and the ones they are calling "toss-up" that are also showing him in the lead, this could turn in to a landslide for McCain.
