I have no doubt the papers in Arizona are glad to publish anti-McCain letters. It seems obvious to even the casual observer that the media is an integral part of the Obama campaign. It is a fact that Arizona is not a battleground state and Obama has conceded it to McCain as McCain is not going to try to win Illinois.

Maybe it is just a coincidence that after almost two weeks of no progress, we are moving toward a resolution shortly after McCain suspends his campaign. And maybe it happened so quickly because the leadership in the Senate and House are loathe to let McCain have any credit. But the fact is they need Republican support, especially in the House, and McCain is probably the only national political figure that can deliver that support.

As for your open mindedness regarding who you are going to vote for I truly hope that you are keeping an open mind. McCain for all his faults is in my view the best possible choice given all the uncertainties of Obama.
