I was listening to a News station last week - maybe CNN, can't remember. Anyway, the lady was talking about health insurance statistics in the U.S. and said something that really amazed me. She said over half of the uninsured children in the U.S. had parents that were insured themselves, but didn't choose to insure the kids. Anyone heard this? I don't have the exact number, but I thought it was interesting.

One has to wonder (and not putting a left or right spin on this either, GF) if a national health care plan were offered, would these parents agree to it? I've heard differing stories on Obama's plan, but the one thing that stands out is that he would make everyone have health insurance. I think all children and the elderly should be insured, but can we really 'make' anyone get it? Doubtful in my (humble) opinion.
