Don't misunderstand me -- I'm not criticizing Sarah about the clothes. I thought she looked great. And I doubt that she chose where she shopped. I figured that someone arranged for her to work with a personal shopper and stylist. She may not have been away of the prices on the stuff they brought her either. I guess I thought the funny part was the idea of auditors going up and sorting through the clothes and the shoes.

It got me to thinking about whether they buy clothes for the men to wear...

I think Michelle Obama buys a mix of things, like most of us do. I thought she looked pretty good most of the time, but didn't really like the dress that she wore at the acceptance speech. I thought it made her look dumpy. I can't imagine the wardrobe you would need for attending all those functions day after day.

Just a little side fun was seeing what the women wore -- loved the saffron suit that McCain's wife had on election night. Ever since I retired, I have little call to get dressed in suits or dressier clothes, so it was fun for me to see what they wore.
