I'm curious -- what do you consider the "legitimate media" and where do you get your facts?

I'll say it again -- the most amusing thing about the whole story is imagining a bunch of guys with green eyeshades up pawing through SP's closet and inventorying her suits and shoes. What a waste of time. The election is over, the money is spent and I personally believe she should be allowed to keep the clothes.

I don't think Michelle Obama spent other than her own money on her wardrobe, but I don't know that for sure. And I'm pretty sure Cindy McCain paid for her own clothes, which I can tell you, are DESIGNER clothes.
Hardly anyone in public life wears off the rack clothes. Most probably because they don't have time to shop and they probably have personal shoppers who do it for them. Most of them get designer clothes at a reduced rate -- remember Nancy Reagan? And personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's good exposure for the designers and probably brings in business. I'm sure the next round of Washington ladies are figuring out where Michelle shops and will be ordering clothes.

You have the next four years to spend investigating where the money came from. What is your degree in? - Maybe you could set up shop and investigate and audit and then write a book about your findings. That ought to keep you busy.
