Maybe so, I don't know. It sounds like you have much more knowledge in that area than most of us. But what husssain did to his people was horrible and I think it is great that we liberated them. The mistake was underestimating how Iran and the terrorist would react. But we did fight them on someone else soil rather and kept them running rather than allow them to stay organized to attack us again (which we know they would love to do).

Since I am originally from NY and was there the day before the attack, I thought for sure we would see multiple attacks on the US, so to see that there have been no further attacks, I give credit to Bush for keeping us safe.

The surge was a huge victory, it took too long. But Obama has made it clear he is going to reduce militart spending and stop development of space based defense systems and accelerate the pull out from Iraq .... so time will tell if a weaker approach results in renewed attacks on the US.
