People in the 60's may not have agreed with the war, but it was not a crime. Back then it was the law to register to vote and serve your country. I just missed having to go. I was the in the final year of the draft and had a very low number, but the war was pretty much over by then (thanks to republican Nixon) and did not have to go.

There is nothing wrong with protesting to voice your view, but it went too far in the 60's ... they were protesting a war through violence ... does not make sense.

Some of what is going on in Washington right now makes me sick. More government power and control of our lives. More taxes, more socialism. As I have pointed out, historically (last 50 years) the percent of GDP that the government controlled has been under 40%. Just since BO took office that has gone to 47% and if he gets his healthcare plan it will be 54% .... we will then be a socialist country.

To me that is a crime (socially) and is worth protesting and taking back control of our lives. Remember ... it is Government for the People, by the People ..... that is not what BO is doing. And please don't say he won the election ... if he was honest with his plan, he would not have been elected.
