-Here's some info on teh "birther" efort to get teh prez to show us his birth certificate. I'm not really a birther, because I don't think there is enough evidence one way or the other for me to take sides. However, I do believe it is deplorable that the prez continues to let this subject fester when all he has to do is open the certificate to public view to bring this issue to an end.
_Apparantly a judge has ruled that the case will come to his court in January. It will be interesting to see if he can withstand the barage of abuse he will be subjected to between now and then.
-Here's the info from a friend: “The trial has been set for Jan. 26, 2010, 4 1/2 months from now! THe hearing was held on 8 Sep 2009 in Federal Court in Santa Ana in the lawsuit against Barack Obama to determine his eligibility to be President and Commander in Chief. Judge David Carter refused to hear Obama’s request for dismissal on 18 Sep, instead setting a hearing date for Oct. 5. He indicated there was almost no chance that this case would be dismissed. Assuming Judge Carter denies Obama’s motion for dismissal, he will likely then order expedited discovery which will force Obama to release his birth certificate in a timely manner . The judge, who is a former U.S. Marine, repeated several times that this is a very serious case which must be resolved quickly so that the troops know that their Commander in Chief is eligible to hold that position and issue lawful orders to our military in this time of war. He basically said Obama must prove his eligibility to the court! He said Americans deserve to know the truth about their President!"
-Now, here's teh intersting thing for me. Just because a friend sent this to me didn't mean I believed it. SO I Googled it. IN the first 5 of two different google topic searches, I got 100 hits on this subject from blogs, but none from a regular news outlet. This means: 1) that the item is not true, just a myth. That this is a myth is interesting from the point of view it could be passed around and believed by so many people, so quickly...or, 2) it is true, but the media just doesn't want to report anything related to the "birther conspiracy" Could this really be what has happened to American journalism?
