OK, I understand that anything associated with a BOAT is more expensive, but this experience was a really big surprise.
- Oil Change/ check belts $208.00
- Install Kill Switch in Dash $130.00
- Replace Impellar (outdrive not involved) $185.00
- Replace steering cable $553.00
- Replace Sea Water Pump $502.00
-Total Parts $528.00\
- Total Labor $1120.00!!!
302 Ford Block with Volvo outdrive, fairly easy access around engine and gunnells.
From the time I dropped off the boat until I picked it up, left the mechanic about 10 hours to complete repairs??
Am I living a dream or is $100.00 an hour for a boat mechanic too much??
Not being nasty, just wat to know if I got RIPPED???
