What keeps this from being a great post? Sentiments like this: "You put on your anti war/don't support the troops shirt"

I hate this war in Iraq. I do not support it. I do not think US troops should be fighting in Iraq. (Afghanistan is another matter.)

According to many, this means that I do not support the troops. In truth, I believe I support the troops more than most. I send care packages weekly. (Do you?) I send emails almost daily, and letter when I can. (Do you?) I support these brave young men and women with all of my heart and soul, and I hope they accomplish all of their goals, and more. But I don't want them there, and if I heard that the US was pulling out tomorrow, I'd be the happiest man on Earth.

Why? Because two of the soldiers that many of you claim I "don't support" are my own sons.

Anyone who says that you can't support the soldiers without supporting the war could not be more wrong.
