We too have a Bosch washer and it really does a nice job. The clothes are nearly dry when they come out of the machine. We had a terrible problem that I hate to admit but it ended up being pretty funny.

Suddenly after almost two years of flawless service, we started getting massive amounts of suds. I mean we had to pull the sheets and towels out and move the suds out in buckets. We called Bosch - they told us to add 1 cup of fabric softener to one gallon of water and put it in the dispenser. Problem became even worse. Called a repairman who called a special number at Bosch. Use vinegar to cut the suds. No help. Ok problem has to be mildew buildup in the water drain. He saw some and told us to run a couple of empty cycles with two cups of bleach to kill the mildew and left.

We did that and no help. Still massive suds.

I told my wife I am going to try this one more time (of course we had always been using miniscule amounts of HE detergent). As I poured the fabric softener (named Fresh something, a Publix brand in a baby blue bottle) my eye caught the word detergent in very small script.

You guessed it - we had been putting massive amounts of detergent we thought was fabric softener in the machine. It never dawned on us that the problem arose during the rinse cycle - duh.

Everything is good now so i still recommend the Bosch!!
