R. L. Harris Reservoir Dam has two turbines that each have a hydraulic capacity of about 6,300 cubic feet per second (cfs). That's the rate water passes through the turbine when it cranks and is released downstream from the dam. At 6PM tonight they cranked two turbines for (I believe) about an hour. So water was released during that period at a rate of 12,632 cfs. That's about 44.5 million cubic feet or 330 million gallons squirted into the Tallapoosa River from that release that eventually makes it way down to Martin. You can see the effect of these releases by the river gage data for Wadley (link). Condor listed the schedule that APCo has posted for releases from Harris today and tomorrow.
