Maybe some of you have never had the experience of an Offshore 35/40 foot Cigarette Boat passing your dock at 60/70MPH at all hours. No mufflers.
Happened for years until jail intervened.
Also, one six-seater seaplane, one twelve-seater seaplane, one 35 foot trawler, and one extravagant "Castle" that trumped everything else on LM, hands down. All at one "Lake Place".
Yep, it was a "Money Thing", you bet.
Don't like arbitrary legislation or controls at all.
Don't like people who are inconsiderate of my feelings either.
Like very much "Lake People" who are considerate, safe, friendly and traditional "Lake People". Also like Lakers who don't own property, but visit by boat, and are considerate.
Legislation usually comes about through pressure on MR.X in the Senate thru Mr.Y who is a friend, who can see some benefit for re-election.
Thus, the dilemma over big boats.
