I cant remember when I was so sore in my life. For the big boats it must have been a nice ride. but for my 21 foot narrow hull deep V cabin boat it was rough. I was out of the water as much as in. I was thinking The Marine Police may have wanted to see my Pilots License as well as my Vessel License. I swear there were wave runners coming by that wanted to know how I was catching so much air and hang time in that old boat.
I really really should have started much earlier. It was a race for me to get to each point. I had one mechanical, but it was only a fowled plug, easy cleanup and no more problems all day.
We Swung by Chucks for a bite after Blue Creek only to find there was a 2Hr wait on Pizza. So back to fighting currents and heavy chop. I made it to Real Island with only seconds to spare.
We made a B-line for Kowaliga where there was no parking so I anchored out and swam to the marina to get my last card. Put put around to Sinclairs where there was also no where to park the boat. Sorry I missed many of you. If was fun, but I am not sure I will ever do it again in that boat. Every mussel in my body is sore and I still feel like I am on the water. If I had any doubts as to how hard or rough I could whip and beat and bang my boat it's gone now.
WOW! What a weekend! NC2
