Would seem to solve the two most critical components, signal strength (36dB is a kick a$$ amplifier) and antenna orientation to the signal source (rotatable).  That being said, TV signals don't propagate through dirt and rock so well.  Unless he can erect a pretty high mast LNG may still have trouble picking up Fungummery signals.
