No problem from this end Hosocat. I will listen to your view and respect your opinion even if not in total agreement. I am not so much worried about your car, mine or most others. I will have to say that there is another set of others out there that will drive an unsafe vehicle and endanger our lives, our familes lives, their passngers and even themselves. Plenty that will spend their last $15.00 in their wallet on liquor before replacing their windshield wipers. There is some waste in Government both State and Federal. There are some out there that are good stewards of the tax payer's dollars. My experience has shown that to be the exception as opposed to the rule or majority. The same is true throughout many walks of life. The Government is just an easy target for the broad brush. We often overlook that it is performed by many dedicated public servants that are frequently underpaid and under appreciated.

I would enjoy your debate and would like to hear your and other's opinions of where Government should be cut. Remember we cut the heck out of many aspects of the Federal Govt. with "Gore' s Reinvention" and where did that leave us? I will put your opposition to vehicle safety inspections on your side of the chalk board. I would like to cut Govt. in the aspects of managing toll roads and lotteries, but then we would not have toll roads and lotteries. I would like to do away with Social Security and cut those Federal workers and managers. Of course that is a personal thing since my time at the "feeding trough" left me with and offset that takes the almost $800.00 a month that I would get in Social Security and cuts it to around $200.00 a month. Thats the only segement of our working society that happens to Federal retired employees.
