Feb,

My labor day excursion went without a hitch. Really beautiful drive from Charlotte into Virginia. I haven't been past Roanoke before, but was impressed with the wide open spaces. I guess I had this vision of Va being very crowded. After reaching Mannassas, it was.

My son commutes from the Franconia-Springfield station which is the end of the Blue line. The commute takes about and hour and a half and costs $3.60 each way plus $3.75 for daily parking so $11 a day.

The disadvantage of my one-way air ticket back to Atlanta was that it made me an automatic candidate for the search at security. They should have good looking women do that and then I wouldn't mind. Other than that pretty smooth.
